Recently, I began thinking about more about my Reiki Lineage and why it’s important to know. For many years, I’ve explained this to my Level I students. Briefly, with a hand out I’ve traced our roots all the way back to Dr. Mikao Usui. However, I’ve never written or explained in depth what a Reiki Lineage is and why it is important.
In this article, I’m going to talk about being a Reiki Master and give current and future healers some important things to consider.

For more information on Dr. Usui please see my previous post: http://reikinewyork.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=700&action=edit .

It is named for the founder of the modern Reiki we know, Dr. Mikao Usui: http://reikinewyork.com/about-reiki/ . Dr Usui was an interesting man who had a quest for knowledge and healing that was with him his entire life: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikao_Usui .
